.Yummiest Kids’ Menu

Rick and Ann's

Rick and Ann’s is really an extension of the best home kitchens: The atmosphere is homey, the artwork on the walls whimsical, and the food high quality. You couldn’t find a more family-friendly restaurant. Children here get their own menus, which they may keep, and the waiters give them crayons so they can color their menus, which are covered in fish drawings. They can order a quesadilla, a turkey burger or hamburger, mac and cheese, an all-beef hot dog, or the chicken plate, which comes with potatoes and vegetables. Children appreciate simplicity, and so do Rick and Ann. It’s the sort of restaurant where kids learn to eat because they aren’t being hoodwinked into eating something complicated or mass-produced. What they are fed has integrity, even if unadorned. For the parents, Rick and Ann’s offers some lovely salads, pastas, fish, and meats. Sooner or later, junior is going to want a bite of the grownup stuff.
