Struggling with the psychological breakdown of her teenage son, Emmy-winning science writer Victoria Costello (and author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Writing a Memoir!) went searching for clues throughout her family tree, from her own depression to the possible suicide of her grandfather in 1913. Along the way in her memoir A Lethal Inheritance, she finds scientific clues that lead her to a new recovery model.
