Led by Jesse Eisenberg’s brilliant portrayal of insufferable tech genius Mark Zuckerberg, who rams through his vision of an online social network from Harvard to Silicon Valley, the spirited cast -- Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Rooney Mara, Armie Hammer, at al. -- shows how a group of aggressive young geeks turned privilege into more privilege and became multi-billion-dollar masters of the universe, with plenty of sex, drugs, hurt feelings, accidental good fortune, and, of course, irony trailing along behind.
