So this is the face of outer-space movies after Gravity? The indie (read: low-budget) sci-fi tale of things going awry for astronauts exploring the Red Planet seems doomed from the start, despite the valiant efforts of actors Liev Schreiber, Olivia Williams, Elias Koteas, and Romola Garai, playing hide-and-seek with bacteria in their space craft. Nothing here that hasn’t been done better before in the Alien movies, Dark Star, the Star Trek franchise, or, for that matter, Night of the Living Dead. Directed by Ruairi Robinson from a screenplay by Clive Dawson, from a short story by Sydney J. Bounds (98 min.).
Director: Ruairi Robinson
Producer: Michael Kuhn, Andrea Cornwell, Malcolm Ritchie and James Swarbrick
Cast: Liev Schreiber, Elias Koteas, Romola Garai, Goran Kostic, Johnny Harris, Tom Cullen, Yusra Warsama and Olivia Williams
