Steve Roby: "Hendrix on Hendrix: Interviews and Encounters with Jimi Hendrix"

When: Thu., Oct. 4, 7:30 p.m. 2012
Price: free

Days before his death, Jimi Hendrix gave his final interview during which he stated that he wanted to be remembered as not just another guitar player. He never wrote a biography, but he left behind a wealth of personal information by way of many interviews. Noted Hendrix historian Steven Roby culls from the best of them, plus previously unpublished court transcripts, to paint a portrait of Hendrix in his own words. Roby will discuss the revealing biography, Hendrix on Hendrix: Interviews and Encounters with Jimi Hendrix, including, fittingly, an audiovisual presentation, on Thursday, Oct. 4, at Pegasus Downtown (2349 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley). 7:30 p.m., free. 510-649-1320 or PegasusBookstore.com
