Friend of parents everywhere, Spettro has remained one of the East Bay’s most kid-friendly bistros for more than a decade. Its menu starts in Italy, heavy on the pizzas and pastas, but picks from points east and south of us to do that funky multicultural Californian fusion thing. The quality of the food varies, but the low-key, friendly atmosphere doesn’t. Kids love the peanut-butter and bacon pizza, and parents love the prompt, unflappable service and affordable wine list.
