The Concord Pavilion – formerly the Chronicle Pavilion and the Sleep Train Pavilion -- is a midsize outdoor amphitheater (12,500 capacity) nestled in the hills of Concord’s outskirts toward Clayton, and kitty-corner from the Concord Naval Weapons Station. Known for being one of the larger and nicer outdoor venues in the Bay Area – and with the tightest security -- the Sleep Train is often the only East Bay stop for big-name musicians of the caliber of Bonnie Raitt and Sheryl Crow. Reserved seating closer to the stage is covered while the general seating on the lawn is not, but that usually makes little a difference during the summer months when nights stay warm. Driving is usually the preferred method of transportation, but a free shuttle runs from the Concord BART station starting ninety minutes before showtime.

Hours: Hours vary with showtimes.
