One of Shakespeare's most popular and flexible comedies, Twelfth Night has it all: cross-dressing, mistaken identity, a fool, assorted rowdies, and a self-righteous prig cruising for comeuppance. It starts making the rounds at summer festivals with this Livermore Shakespeare Festival production helmed by artistic director Lisa Tromovitch with original music by Rob Evans, who also shows up as the sea captain. The stage is the 1895 Victorian house that's the company's new home at Concannon Vineyard (4590 Tesla Rd., Livermore). The cast of eighteen includes Elissa Stebbins, James Hiser, Nikolai Lokteff, Hannah Knapp, Chris Macomber, Ted D'Agostino, and Michele Leavy. Twelfth Night runs in repertory with The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) (revised),written by the Reduced Shakespeare Company and performed by D'Agostino, Hiser, and Lokteff.
