Re: “Controversial 'Bulletproof' Police Firearms Training Canceled by Santa Clara Sheriff

This cancellation is extremely disappointing and ins the response of a spineless police administrator cowtowing to political pressure.
I am a retired LEO, but when active I took courses from Lt. Col Grossman twice in my career. Once as a detective, the other as a police sergeant assigned to school in an inner-city.
Both courses/ seminars dealt with being PREPARED for a situation where one is put in the situation where force may have to be used and stopping the threat to save lives of others - especially school shooting situations.
He encourages officers and school staff to open their eyes to the problems around them, namely in respect to preventing youth violence.
Awareness and preparation was the curriculum that spanned a variety of topics of vital importance to LEOs— proper breathing, surviving gunshot wounds, dealing with survivor guilt following a gun battle, and violence among and against children
It sounds as if Susan Harmon was uninformed and focusing on the "Killology" name.
"Denial kills twice"

Re: “Badge of Dishonor: Top Oakland Police Department Officials Looked Away as East Bay Cops Sexually Exploited and Trafficked a Teenager

I may get chastised for saying this, but excellent investigative reporting.
