This small, industrial-chic ramen house is filled with Japanese students reading manga as they hunch over their bowls of noodles. Ryowa specializes in un-Americanized Kobe-style ramen: huge bowls of meaty pork stock filled with crinkly, chewy noodles and slices of tender pork (yes, theres a vegetarian ramen, too). The only side dishes, gyoza and fried rice, are both worth a couple of extra bucks. Service can be a little confused.
