Ralph Nader

When: Wed., July 30, 7:30-9:30 p.m. 2014
Price: $12-$15
In 1965, a young Ralph Nader rose to international prominence with his muckraking, bestselling investigation into car safety titled Unsafe at Any Speed. In the nearly fifty years since then, he’s run for president four times, written or co-written 36 books, founded dozens of nonprofit organizations, and tried rapping on Da Ali G Show. Perhaps fittingly, his new book is called Unstoppable. Nader will be discussing the book — which covers “the emerging left-right alliance to dismantle the corporate state” — at the First Congregational Church of Berkeley (2345 Channing Way) this week in conversation with historian Harry Kreisler; it’s (obviously) likely to sell out, so get your tickets now.
