Star chef Daniel Patterson’s more casual, scaled-down neighborhood version of San Francisco’s Coi serves up farm-fresh ingredients in unusual California-fusion combinations: deviled eggs with caperberry-tarragon relish, oyster stew with parsley root and wheatgrass, braised cauliflower with dandelion salsa verde. The execution doesn’t always live up to the high concept, but the beef cheek/oxtail burger is sensational, the artichoke/chervil terrine is lush and delectable, and the white chocolate parfait with huckleberries is a dream. Strikingly dark, sleek setting; impressive wine list.
