Passport to Urban Wine Country

When: Sat., March 15, 1-5 p.m. and Sun., March 16, 1-5 p.m. 2014
Price: $10-$65
Not far from Napa County is California’s other “wine country” — and it’s, well, right here. Presented by the East Bay Vintners Alliance on Saturday and Sunday, the sixth annual Passport to Urban Wine Country is a grand tasting tour including wines from nearly two dozen local winemakers, such as Campovida (95 Linden St., Oakland), Two Mile Wines (477 25th St., Oakland), Irish Monkey Cellars (1017 22nd Ave., Unit 300, Oakland), Rosenblum Cellars (2900 Main St., Alameda), and many more. Hors d’oeuvres will also be offered at each of the festival’s numerous locations in Oakland and Alameda, so prepare to pair.
