Louis Kao’s handsome little noodle shop is an appealing stir-fry of the vivid and the simple. Good-quality meats and poultry — in most cases grilled to a blackened deliciousness — get most of the focus atop basic bowls of soupy ramen or wok-tossed noodles. Grilled chicken over ginger noodles is a home-style dish you could dip your chopsticks into once a week, while grilled beef udon in curry broth is lush and satisfying. Noodles can be a tad overcooked, but you’ll happily slurp everything around them.
