Mayoral Debate

When: Thu., April 3, 6:30-9 p.m. 2014
With more than ten candidates in the race and just about seven months until the city gets a new leader (or not), the mayor’s race is decidedly on. This week, Temple Sinai (2808 Summit St., Oakland) hosts the first of what will surely be many debates; the event will focus on ever-present issue of public safety and be moderated by the Oakland Tribune’s Matt Artz, the San Francisco Chronicle’s Chip Johnson, Youth Radio’s Bianca Brooks, and, most importantly, the endlessly witty and ceaselessly charming Robert Gammon, co-editor of this here fine paper. Space is limited and this is sure to be a well-attended event, so RSVP at MayoralDebate2014.eventbrite.com — or just catch the livestream on Google Hangouts at TinyURL.com/PublicSafetyDebate.
