Shiny and massive Legendary Palace wants to claim the title of Chinatown’s swankiest restaurant. It comes close at dinner: The chef has a delicate touch with the superb Hong Kong-style seafood, much of it swimming until it gets ordered. The rest of the menu varies in quality, but you’ll generally have luck with the roast meats and hot pots. The daytime dim sum is good as long as you can bear the chaotic bustle and long waits.

Hours: Lunch: Mon-Fri 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m Dinner: Mon-Fri 5pm-12 am. Sat & Sun 8:00 a.m.- 12 p.m.
