“One Love” is painted in bold black letters on the outside of Kingston 11's building — a reference to the Bob Marley song, of course, and also to this Jamaican restaurant’s sensibility: The first thing you’ll notice here is how friendly everyone is. But what will stay with you is chef Nigel Jones’ food, much of it lovingly slow-cooked over the course of many hours. The restaurant’s signature jerk chicken has the succulence and the deep smoky flavor of competition-grade barbecue, and a deep, penetrating heat that will clear your sinuses straightaway. Braised oxtails are cooked so long, and are so tender, that a fork is scarcely needed. And the curried goat, maybe the best dish of all (available Thursday to Saturday only), has an addictive soupiness and a low, slow-building burn that will linger in your memory.
