The unique and healthful flavors of Nepal and Tibet star at this tranquil, friendly Himalayan restaurant in downtown Albany. Cloudlike dumplings, restorative ginger-garlic soup, rice bread stuffed with chicken and legumes, and haku chewela, a fabulous cold chicken appetizer sparkle with spices, are among the standouts. Other dishes, while satisfying, are overly placid and even unmemorable. The creamy, subtly sweet rice pudding is a fine example of comfort food, and the warm, fragrant chia tea is like a salubrious yet delectable hot toddy.
