When it comes to selling your clothing in the East Bay, you can feel a little bit like Goldilocks -- this one's too big to want my stuff, that one's too small, and those style-forward buyer bears can be pretty damn scary. But the Crossroads on Shattuck is just right. Not as focused on designer labels as its teeny College Avenue sister, but higher-paying than its competitors, the downtown Crossroads buys more in volume and pays more consistently. Now you just need to get over your fear of rejection. It's easy. Just remind yourself that you're getting rid of your clothes for a reason, whether that reason is style, color, or fit. So it's entirely possible that the style is last year, the color is weird, or the fit is awkward on anyone, not just you. Hold your head high, and don't try to pull one over on the bears. They're not going to eat you. They're just doing their jobs.
