Berkeley's first vegetarian Thai restaurant is owned by the same family that owns TukTuk and Your Place. Occupying the space formerly occupied by Sushi A'float, it wears a fresh new design that reflects its allegiance to the plant realm. It's one of those rare places in which you keep on ordering and keep on liking everything you try. The fried-taro appetizer is a revelation, a creamy-starchy cutlet-slab whose crisp, golden skin suggests a fried-chicken-potato-derma donut. Other standouts include the daikon patties, pineapple-gluten curry, and peanut-sauce tofu. Noodle dishes are a bit sparse, but maybe that's because most of the other dishes — especially the curries, which range from mild to three-star spicy — are so gigantic.
