G.P. Skratz

When: Thu., April 5 2012

G.P. Skratz might be the most fun poet around. The ghostwriter for a biography on Larry of The Three Stoogers is also the author of Fun, a book of poems; and Glossary Beads, a selection of one-word poems (examples: "tyravision" and "aufblasten"). This occasion, however, is bittersweet. On Thursday, Apr. 5.,Skratz and his band, Smooth Toad, perform selections from Everything Else, Skratz' collaboration with the late poet Darrell Gray. The event also features drawings by Dave Morice and photographs by Shelly Vogel, and, with the band (including a blues harp and a fiddle), is guaranteed to be a great time. At Moe's Books (2476 Telegraph Ave, Berkeley). 7:30 p.m., free. 510-849-2087 or
