Sample these and countless other movement styles during National Dance Week, April 23-May 2, when companies and schools open their doors for dozens of free classes, workshops, demonstrations, and dance jams.
Speaking of fire dancing, see Pyromancy's overview at their warehouse on Monday, April 26. Adventurous types can also seek topsy-turvy serenity via AcroYoga at Athletic Playground on Tuesday, April 27, and try aerial dance at Studio 12 flys on Wednesday, April 28.
Learn the Duke of Kent's waltz, circle dances, and other Victorian favorites from Fezziwigs Dance Guild at Prop Box Studio on Sunday, April 25. Appalachian clogging is afoot during Jubilee American Dance Theatre's beginning class at Ashkenaz on Monday, April 26.
AXIS Dance Company welcomes people with and without disabilities to a physically integrated dance class on Monday, April 26, and to an open rehearsal on Wednesday, April 28, at Malonga Casquelourd Center for the Arts.
