Eric Erlandson

When: Wed., April 25, 7:30 p.m. 2012

Sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll come together in Letters to Kurt, a eulogy in 52 prose/poetry/free-verse pieces dedicated to the late, legendary Kurt Cobain, penned by his friend and Hole co-founder Eric Erlandson. The release, literal and metaphorical, comes eighteen years after Cobain's death, but feels timely and intimate to anyone who was a fan of the artist and his music. Influenced in part by Charles Bukowski, Patti Smith, and Jim Harrison, Letters is a way for Erlandson to work through his anguish while helping readers do the same. At Moe's Books (2476 Telegraph Ave, Berkeley) on Wednesday, Apr. 25. 7:30 p.m., free. 510-849-2087 or MoesBooks.com
