Ego Tripping ponders the questions, what is safety in an environment built to plunder and extinguish black/african peoples very existence, how do communities reconcile being endlessly violated and simultaneously asked to be of love? Ego Trippin will use film, textile sculpture, soundscape, photography and interactive performance as tools to explore the complexity and brilliance of the the mind evolved in blackness and queerness. The exhibit will open at Qulture Collective May 4th, 2017, with a closing performance and film screening on May 25th 2017.
