Easter Bunny Painting

When: Sat., April 11, 1-4 p.m. 2009
Price: $9.75-$12.75

It's time, once again, for fertility metaphors and visitations from a mythical oversized bunny. This Saturday, Apr. 11, the EastBay will offer a spate of events for folks who enjoy the secular pleasures of Easter. An Easter egg hunt at Oakland's MosswoodPark (3612 Webster St., 11 a.m.-5 p.m.) will feature jumpy houses, raffles, and basket decorating, while the annual spring egg hunt at Moraga Commons Park (Moraga and St. Mary's rds., 9 a.m.) will include face painting, a toy walk, and at least one anthropomorphic bunny. If colored eggs don't exactly tickle your fancy, why not head over to Charles Chocolates (6529 Hollis St., Emeryville) where you can purchase a bittersweet chocolate bunny and paint it with cocoa butters (1-4 p.m., $9.75-$12.75). Dunsmuir Historic Estate (2960 Peralta Oaks Ct., Oakland) also holds its annual egg hunt (noon-3 p.m.). Dunsmuir.org
