Complimentary Thanksgiving Dinner

When: Thu., Nov. 26, 5:30-7:30 p.m. 2009
Price: free
Town fish sandwiches, Mediterranean wraps, and loose-leaf specialty teas aren’t the only reason that Spice Monkey Cafe (1628 Webster St., Oakland) has become the new go-to lunch spot in downtown Oakland. It’s also a place with high-minded social ideals, from the locally sourced ingredients on its menu to the art that graces its walls. On Thursday, Nov. 26, Spice Monkey offers a complimentary Thanksgiving meal to patrons who arrive with five canned donations for the Alameda County Food Bank. The meal includes a main course and special goody, though beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase. The meal starts at 5 p.m. Drop by the restaurant to make a reservation.
