Looking like a shiny new gentlemen’s club, Cafe Ophelia is a Taiwanese-Hong-Kong-style coffeehouse where hip young crowds gather to sip boba drinks and eat Chinese takes on American and Japanese cuisine such as baked spaghetti, grilled steaks, and tempura. The things to get at the cafe, though, are the herbal hot pots, richly flavored cook-'em-yourself stews containing healthful Chinese herbs like ginseng, donggui, and astragalus root. Even if you don’t feel your libido improve, as the menu promises, the hot pots are a lovely way to pass the evening.

Hours: Cafe open 11:30 a.m.-midnight 7 days a week; hot pots available 5:30 p.m. - midnight
