When is a burrito not a burrito, or pad Thai a salad? When you’re eating at Cafe Muse. The Berkeley Art Museum’s cafe has augmented a normal lunchtime menu of soups and sandwiches — all with sustainably grown vegetables and humanely raised meat — with a short list of raw-foods dishes such as “sushi” and “lasagna.” Whether or not you believe in the raw-foods movement’s health claims, Muse’s low prices and sunny atmosphere make it worth your while to try the cafe’s creative veggie wrangling.

Hours: Mon-Fri 9:30 a.m.- 3 p.m.; Thurs until 7 p.m. Sat-Sun 11 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
