Chef-owner Joann Guitarte calls Café Jolie a “French-American bistro,” meaning the menu is a mixed bag: chicken strips and Cobb salad and a run-of-the-mill selection of egg dishes alongside pastries imported straight from France. Lunch offerings tend to be stronger than most breakfast options, including a solid croque monsieur (with béchamel served on the side) and a surprisingly tasty all-breast-meat chicken burger on a toasted brioche bun. Dinner is served Thursday through Saturday. The space itself is bright and pleasant, and there’s a nice sidewalk patio area for those who enjoy dining al fresco.
