The Walnut Creek outpost of this Berkeley standard repeats owner Rohit Singhs successful formula, a small, ever-changing menu of fresh, seasonal dishes from all over India each described in a paragraph-length essay. Singh has designed the Walnut Creek space with yuppies in mind, and the attractive, flame-walled room is packed with suits and saris sitting side by side. The vegetarian dishes can taste a little muddled, but when it comes to roast meats and tandoor-cooked breads, Breads of India stands out.
