Here are your headlines: 1) An unscientific bill to criminalize sober drivers with old THC in their blood comes back from the dead in Colorado.

2) Six more L.A. clubs sue over the city's ill-conceived plan to permit dispensaries via lottery.

3) Vice Magazine publishes a profile on Sinaloa's drug kingpin cemeteries. Mexican drug trafficking organizations gross an estimated $2 billion per year selling pot to gringos.

4) A smart conversation with Michael Backes, Hollywood special effects consultant for Jurassic Park to Spider-Man 2, who also happens to be an expert on medical cannabis. Bottom line: Backes wants you to smoke less weed.

5) Oakland dispensary Harborside Health Center receives the highest honor from The Alameda Food Bank after donating over 5,300 pounds of food during a May food drive. It's called "The Red Plate Award". The Alameda County Food Bank serves 49,000 people a week. According to Harborside, “This marks yet another community involvement "first" for Harborside, whose San Jose facility hosted a highly successful Blood Drive with the American Red Cross last year.”

7) Mendocino County's D.A. treats growers with a velvet fist, allowing them to pay a fee, take a misdemeanor instead of a felony and do community service.

8) Meanwhile in New Orleans, life in prison for a repeat pot dealer. Yeah, that'll work.
