The Crosby concept is as corny as a Road picture, but executive chef Frank Palmers country-club cuisine is better than it needs to be -- in some cases a lot better. The retro iceberg wedge salad is surprisingly suave, and the grilled filet with truffle-laced demiglace is grand enough to stand up to the monumentally nostalgic surroundings.
