They say you never forget your first, and we know we'll keep going back to ours. Marie Hart consistently puts together a fluid and challenging yoga session, while keeping it fun. She is warm and welcoming to all newcomers to the practice, and makes a point of working with each student no matter how big the class gets. She's pretty creative with her routines, too; we even had special classes to help clear out our stuffy noses during the allergy season. Often, Hart can be found teaching at the University YWCA in Berkeley, but she does workshops in other Berkeley studios as well. Her lessons consist of basic yoga and breathing awareness practices, building stamina and flexibility, and it definitely works: We predict that, with a little work, you'll be able to do the tree pose in high heels.
