Everybody knows that for selection and value, the place to visit for vintage galore is your computer: All hail eBay. But eBay just doesn't register high on the fun-factor scale. Much of the thrill in the vintage treasure hunt is tactile: running your hands over those fancy fabrics, petting the store cat, and, of course, trying stuff on. Well, Twisters Vintage doesn't have a resident cat, but it sure has a lot of great clothes in a reasonable, mid-price range, as well as some collectible objects and furnishings. Twisters keeps its music to a bearable sound level so that you can shop in comfort. And the folks behind the counter are super-friendly, sitting there a-sewing and chitchatting with the customers. No snooty attitudes here, and the selection is good: Great place to pick up those extremely hot, lacy '20s undies. Unused, you perv.
