Give it up for the Bone and its self-described "Classic Rock That Rocks"! Owned by the same folks who own KFOG -- which at least has a wide variety of music, which is more than one can say for other commercial stations -- the Bone emerged from KSAN's all-Gerry Rafferty/Eagles lineup, which KFOX always did better anyway. The Bone is a good "wash the car and drink some beers" station, and how many among us don't have it preset in our automobiles? Though they do cornball things like adding their station ID (some deep radio voice saying, "THE BONE" ominously) to "Twilight Zone" by Golden Earring, and though they hired another unfunny, bespittled dink from KFOG for their morning show, they don't seem to play too many ads and they're definitely heavy on the Dio, Judas Priest, and Van Halen tip. Then they also pull out "closet classics" by UFO, LA Guns, and Molly Hatchet. Pretty fresh, all things considered.
