With a second outlet in San Francisco, Jeremy's is a favorite on both sides of the Bay for finding cool men's clothes without ducking into a dreaded department store. Designer threads reign, usually at deeply discounted prices -- another reason guys flock to the store. (Others are dragged there by mates who want to shop the women's side, only to discover the separate men's section.) Jeremy's only drawback is that the salespeople sometimes display attitude, but thirty to seventy percent off of retail makes it tolerable. One recent foray scored a Calvin Klein dress shirt, a Romeo Gigli tie, and a Pendleton wool coat. The store also stocks a regular assortment of shoes, jeans, belts, T-shirts, and whatever else Jeremy himself might find -- one spring, lime green suits were apparently de rigueur. Some trips are less fruitful than others. But then they say the hunt is more thrilling than the kill.
