How can you go wrong with a nickname like "Porno Palace?" While rumors that this sojubang (or Korean pub) used to house an adult video store are strictly apocryphal — the Korean name actually pays tribute to an old movie theater in Seoul — there is, in fact, an element of sketchiness to the place. The dim lighting, private booths, and (non-X-rated) Korean movie posters plastered all over the walls make it easy to pretend you've entered some seedy Asian underworld hangout. Most of the food at Dan Sung Sa is spicy; all of it goes perfectly with a large mug of cold OB beer: the spicy rice cakes (order them "with everything"), the several variations of Korean-style fried chicken, and something called "corn cheese" (corn kernels cooked in sweet condensed milk) that's a lot more addictive than it sounds.
