The signs say "please don't pick the flowers" in these swatches of urban greenery, which were created expressly for "member satisfaction" -- but the fact is, they're pretty satisfying even if you've got a different HMO. Every area, from the parking garage to the smokers' patio to the shuttle-bus shelter, has its own appropriate landscaping featuring a variety of flowering plants, mature trees, and ornamental grasses. There are rock gardens and planters, shade gardens and sun gardens with their coteries of butterflies and bees. The walkway between Piedmont Avenue and Howe Street boasts impatiens in ten different colors along with ferns and evergreen trees. While nothing can actually make a trip to the doctor enjoyable, these colorful displays do their best to make you feel better, at least until you go inside.
