A smidge beyond the most yupscale stretch of Park Street sits this inviting oasis. Inside, the walls are painted a pale green, comfy chairs and sofas fill the front room, and there are ceramic sconces and blown-glass birdfeeders for sale. Out back, there's a lovely garden and covered patio ringed with potted herbs. Julie's coffee is organic, and her baristas know their business. You can also order tea from an ample list and scones with Devonshire cream and herbal jelly from the small but tempting menu -- it'll be brought to you on a silver tray in one-of-a-kind teacups. Julie's also hosts art openings, weekly live music events, and crafting sessions of the stitch 'n' bitch variety. Granted, your average dude probably wouldn't want to hang out here. It certainly is rather ... girly. But not in a cutesy, cloying way. More like a "look at all the cool stuff us gals get to do" way.
