Adele Mendelson and Leah Steinberg read

When: Fri., May 12, 7-9 p.m.
Phone: 510-841-6374

There is also an open reading.  Adele Mendelson taught ESL for years at the University of California at Berkeley. She has produced several volumes of work and believes that writing should be sexy, that something should be at stake, and that the dark side should be lurking just below the cover. Leah Steinberg is a published poet who recently published "Raised in the Shadow of the Bomb: Children of the Manhattan Project." She is the daughter and niece of scientists who worked on the Manhattan Project, and this is the story of the children of the Manhattan Project scientists.
