Mr.Hernandez -- The recycled water used by the Olympic Club and SF Golf Club (and also the Lake Merced Golf Club) comes from a recycled water plant in Daly City that Daly City built in about 2 or 3 years time after the decision was first made to do so. And the recycled water that will be going to Harding and Fleming will come from that same plant.

But you sure are correct that SFPUC has "numerous presentations" about their plans for recycled water.

      Mr. Hernandez,

The very modest water-recycling efforts by the SFPUC are truly unimpressive, especially when compared to what Orange County is doing. Moreover, rainwater capture and reuse is nowhere near as complicated as you contend.

Both the Olympic Club and the San Francisco Golf Club utilize recycled water. Currently, SFPUC has plans to continue to expand the use of recycled water around the City.

Kudos to Mr. Gammon for an excellent story hitting the most relevant points on this important issue. It might be added that the people who support restoring the Hetch Hetchy Valley in Yosemite National Park are not fringe radical nuts as Mayor Lee, the Chronicle and other defenders of the indefensible status quo would have you believe; unless of course you think Yvon Choiunard, four former California Resource Secretaries (2 GOP and 2 Dems), John Garamendi, Senator Lois Wolk, and three former Superintendents of Yosemite National Park are fringe radical nuts.
