<![CDATA[Hi This is the BP bear again, I have to make a correction the statement of the Bird Seed Slinger has been putting seed down for years. Year by year went by and there were no rats whatsoever until UC went to town on erradicating them from peoples park which was in 2009 thats when a rat or 2 started showing up.

<![CDATA[It's hard to understand why Marc Weinstein (comments below) is being so thin-skinned and shrill in complaining about this article. Having lived in the area for more than a decade, I appreciate the Express helping me to know the full history of what is truly an eyesore.

<![CDATA[Once apon a time, 17 years ago, Mr. Sarachan purchased this lot out from Resources for Community Development (RCD) - we were simply going to buy the first floor retail space as a commercial condominium. The story should be about the city's inability to help get something built there, and/or their inability to get anything going on Telegraph Avenue, in general.

<![CDATA[From Marc Weinstein: Absolutely hideous reporting on the part of Judith Scherr. As the subject of some of this story, I have to say this story plays up a barely significant aspect of the story for the sake of drama- as if this has something to do with a "rivalry" between Amoeba and Rasputin- Ken may or may not have been specifically trying to block us from proceeding with RCD, who were the actual developer of that project- IT MATTERS NOT.
