Re: “BART's Big Gift to Wealthy Corporations

I simply take issue with your statement, " many of whom were elected on progressive, pro-labor platforms,". Those of us that are actually members of the callus club are under no illusion that any politician is actually pro-labor in 2013. They are simply the best of the bad choices. Most are from upper middle class backgrounds, don't live like us, don't dress like us and look down their noses at us. They use us in their effort to gain power, but these are the choices we have.

It;s not that our Unions, (which are us and not some abstract idea or separate from us as portrayed by the right and the left), sold us out it's just that politicians are scum only surpassed by bourgeois liberals in management positions. The politicians on the right tells us they are going to screw us and the politicians on the left tries to convince us that they aren't screwing us.

Re: “BART's Lead Negotiator Has a History of Illegal Behavior

And surrounding Hock at the bargaining table are a bunch of attorneys that are on BART's payroll also as well as their support staff. I think the question needs to be asked if BART has all these "labor relations" folks on staff why do they need to go outside and hire this mercenary at the public's expense?

Another question that needs to be asked is Hock acting as an BART's attorney or a consultant? In many instances these corporate mercenaries act as consultants so they can avoid any ethics violations put forward by the State Bar Association.
