Re: “Oakland Cops Point Guns at Sleeping One-Year-Old

Great illustration of the failed/failing police force. A note to EBE editors, the writing in the article veers towards sounding teenage: "The sleeping child posed no threat to the officers, and yet they pointed their guns at the one-year-old anyway."
a) It's obvious to us that the baby posed no threat. They might have to cite it in the police report, but we don't need that commentary from the author.
b) "and yet" + "anyway" = redundancy. And juvenile sounding.
I was glad to see the story, but I hope the EBE can keep the prose at the level of a professional paper!
