Re: “'National Geographic' debuts 'Drugged: High on Marijuana' Sunday

The Rand corporation is a long long way from being non partisan, My heart rate increases by 7 beats per /min,that depends on whether I have had any recently or whether I have been consuming it regularly, there is a mile of difference. Has been consistent for thirty years. All drugs have positive & negative aspects. The best ones have nearly all good side effects. Cannabis is one of the very few natural drugs that fit the description of good medicine. The pharmaceutical companies can`t be trusted & neither can National Geographic to present an unbiased truth. One that really irritates me is someone with almost zero experience telling me how cannabis works on the body. If they took the opportunity to ask the people that smoke it,eat it & self medicate with it ,they would find out that it is the scientists with very little knowledge about Cannabis. You try telling someone who has used Cannabis in their family for hundreds of years that it has all of a sudden become a dangerous drug. It is not going to work. Too much of any one thing is no good for you. One thing people should know is Cannabis will pull arsenic out of the ground if it is present. Make sure the medium is good. It is one of the main causes of anxiety attacks, even in users that have it regularly. A build up of arsenic from the plant grown in the wrong place. The other main cause is the crap they put in the hydro. I notice when they do their studies they use people that don`t smoke ,so it is a shock test, most users don`t have pot the first time & then go driving, they usually sit it out watch a vid ,munch out & crash on the lounge. Expecting people to do tests on their first hit is in itself an act of lunacy. Is that how most people experiment with things ? Take it & go out. Probably not ! Just as testing is done with pharmaceutical drugs ,there are short term, shock effects, average effects & long term effects. A couple of cones over say four hours is totally different to very small doses over the long term which may if the plant is grown with that in mind could be great for some types of epilepsy, anorexia, sciatica, blood pressure tablets that don`t lower platelets, angina, sleeping disorders, schizophrenia, cancer, pain threshold inhibitors, natural hormone replacement for women, menopausal relief, anti-oxidants. Possibly macrobiotics.
