There are 23 tango events the bay area tonight (tangomango.org). I don't see that as wilting.

"New blood would help the scene" - There is a huge population of people in their 20's and 30s that dance. Yes, if you go to the Allegro Ballroom you will find older people but many venues, like Cellspace, the alternative milonga has people in their teens and the new generation, the babies of the tangueros who can do a molinete as soon as they can walk.

"The venue lacked the classic tango vibe"? That is a strong opinion for a first-timer. It appears the writer makes this opinion with only Dancing With The Stars as a comparison.

Dear East Bay Express- Please get writers that actual know something about tango next time. Ms Swan's article came across offensive, ignorant and way off point.
