Re: “Maria Guzman Capron Makes Clashing Cool

Hi, Do you do write-ups about the events at the Osceola Gallery in Emeryville and the Mythos Gallery in Berkeley?
Recently, the Mythos Gallery has produced art shows of significant quality, from historical themes to the upcoming contemporary abstract work. Osceola Gallery has recently held an open house and I saw works there from mid-20th century that are that are a collector's dream. Both worthwhile art news, Janet Norris

Re: “Best Art Walk That's Not Art Murmur

It's good to see some print on the Piedmont area, its present wonderfulness, and its differentness and its potential; I'm also especially pleased to see the the C.K. Gallery has been highlighted. Thank you.

Re: “What To Do With Your Orphan: A Manual

Jennie Ottinger's alienated figures (you identify the images as exhibiting humor, ugliness, beauty: people become dolls, nuns, etc.....) have nothing whatsoever in common with Edward Hopper. To drop that sentence into this review without elaborating on it - and I believe the future of your thesis wouldn't stand up to elaboration - in my opinion, is the sign of an uninformed, naive writer. This is dreary, dismal writing, and worse, it displays a self assured quality on the part of the writer who is seemingly unaware of the fact that the writing exhibits a very shallow intellect.
