Re: “Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf Institutes Ban On Nighttime Street Protests

Well, maybe Libby has what it takes to make a real change and start looking after the residents of this city. Libby, you have my vote!

Re: “Gibson McElhaney Paid Substantial Fine for Failing to File Campaign Finance Disclosure Statement

I would very much like to encourage you to look into measure Z and McElhaney's insolvent.
1. The measure re-approval was led by her staff and her during work hours.
2. The taskforce was primarily (if not solely) of those who have been the recipients of those funds for the past ten years. Groups like healthy Oakland, which enforced her campaign.
3. This is the first time when these groups will receive an additional 20 million on top of the already allocated 100 million, from the general budget over the next ten years; a changed included by McElhaney.

I am at your disposal.

Re: “West Oakland Councilmember Involved in House-Flipping Scheme

What!? The East Bay express did what? I'm sure they are doing this just because she is black.

Re: “Oakland Planning Commission Rejects Lake Merritt Dog Park Proposal

The failure of this initiative proves that we have gone about it the wrong way. There are several other sites that have been proposed and discarded. I monitored this issue very closely. We have to learn give something to get something. In my opinion, we should have a dog park. People with dogs also pay taxes. The lake should be for all not just for those without dogs. There are several underutilized areas of the lake that can easily host this use. These areas would be brought back to life and we would get a dog park.

If the people behind this initiative would like me to give it a try - I am very happy to work with the powers at be and get this done.
