Re: “Congressman Eric Swalwell Puts Donor's Daughter on Payroll

Two cliches' apply here:
1st: "Tempest in a teacup."
2nd: "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss" (courtesy of Mr. Peter Townsend)
Sure, at first glance, this may look a little greasy. But anybody who wants to get their panties in a twist over this, needs to take a look at all of the "Advisory Board" positions that are getting passed around in Sacramento.
Really.
Political cronies of one stripe or another are being named to these "positions" that pay a $100k to $150k per year "stipend"....to perform the incredibly taxing job of...(wait for it)...showing up for one or two 4 hour meeting(s) per year in Sacramento.....maybe.
Want to report on something? Try looking into that.

Re: “When Private Patrols Pull The Trigger

How the hell did we turn into a country that endeavors to punish it's citizens for taking responsibility for defending themselves. Utterly nauseating!

Re: “Why We Oppose the Oakland Spy Center

Oakland PD cannot currently get out of it's own way, and they want to give them truly disturbing Orwellian snooping technology? I've got a far better idea: How about they spend that money on hiring some seasoned detectives that are actually capable of competently conducting a homicide investigation (and actually interested in doing so), and enough of them to seriously tackle the case-load. Turning OPD into a little mini-NSA, particularly without a major housecleaning, is money far worse than just merely wasted.
