Thank you for linking to the story on AB 1897, which will hold employers when their temporary agencies and other subcontractors violate major California labor laws. This bill was the number one priority for the Teamsters this year, and we are thankful that the Governor signed it into law! Once again, California is leading the nation in laws to protect workers.

Fred Blackwell is a man who can get the deal done, but do it with integrity. Without him, Oakland would not be getting thousands of good jobs under the Oakland Army Base development.

We will all be well-served by this appointment.
